Bachelorette Parties at the Sandbar
Bachelorette trips on a boat to a sandbar can be incredibly fun and memorable for everyone involved. Here are some tips to help you plan and make the most of your bachelorette trip to a sandbar:
- Choose the Right Boat: Depending on the size of your group, you'll need to select a boat that can accommodate everyone comfortably. Consider factors like seating space, amenities, and whether you'll need a captain or can operate the boat yourselves. At Habana Bay Charters we safely and comfortably have seating for up to 6 and this includes very comfortable bow lounging seats, all seats have built in cupholders.
- Plan the Route: Research sandbars in your area and select one that is suitable for your bachelorette party. In the Jacksonville, Saint Augustine, and St Johns we have numerous Sandbars to pull into. These include Fort George island in Jacksonville. Bird Island, Fort Matanzas, and Vilano sandbar in Saint Augustine. Pineapple point, Bayard Point, and countless spots in Black Creek including Redneck beach with rope-swings in the St. Johns River.
- Safety First: Prioritize safety by ensuring everyone on board has access to life jackets. Familiarize yourself with boating safety guidelines and regulations. If none of your group have experience operating a boat, consider hiring a captain to handle navigation. At (HBC) we have over a decade of boating experience with over thousands of hours on the water logged. I prioritize in a safe and fun trip. All safety equipment is inspected and tested prior to every trip.
- Pack Essentials: Make a list of essentials to take with you on the boat. This may include sunscreen, towels, water, snacks, and a cooler for drinks and food. Don't forget any special decorations or props you plan to use on the sandbar. We provide a cooler with ice and water on every trip but I have plenty of room for extra coolers.
- Bring Entertainment: Keep your group entertained during the boat trip with some fun activities. Consider bringing water toys that you can use once you reach the sandbar.
- Food and Drinks: Plan your food and drink options carefully. Pack snacks, finger foods, and easy-to-eat items. Opt for beverages that are convenient for the boat, such as canned drinks and plastic cups. Ensure everyone stays hydrated by bringing plenty of water.
- Capture the Memories: Assign someone to be the designated photographer and videographer for the day. Encourage everyone to get involved in capturing the special moments of the bachelorette trip.
- Plan Activities: Once you reach the sandbar, plan some activities to keep the fun going. Beach games like cornhole, frisbee, or beach volleyball can add to the enjoyment. You can also organize a mini photoshoot, create beachside lounging areas, or even hire a yoga instructor for a relaxing session on the sand. We provide floats, a 17ft water mat to fit the whole group and have sandbars games including; cornhole, spikeball, beersbee, frisbee and a football.
- Respect the Environment: Follow environmental guidelines and be respectful of the sandbar and its surroundings. Clean up after yourselves and leave no trace of your presence. I provide plenty of space on board to discard trash that are out of sight and out of the way.
- Enjoy and Celebrate: Most importantly, relax, have fun, and celebrate the bride-to-be! Take this opportunity to bond with friends, create lasting memories, and enjoy the beauty of the sandbar and the boat trip.
